I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and have been told I need CPAP, What is CPAP?

Treatments Available

In the event that you test positive for sleep apnea you will want to discuss treatments available to you with your doctor. Some treatments for sleep apnea include surgical correction, dental appliances devices, and CPAP or BiPAP therapy.

CPAP (Continuous Positive Air Pressure)

What is CPAP/bipap?

CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Air Pressure. What this means is that while using this machine during sleep, your airway is being held open by using positive air pressure acting as a splint.

CPAP/BiPAP is a common method of treatment for sleep apnea. It is non-invasive and requires little effort or expense. If this is a treatment option you are interested in, please inform your doctor or call our facility for more information. In recent years, new innovative equipment has been designed to make this treatment option more comfortable and less intrusive than in the past. If you have any questions or would like more information on this disorder or any other sleep disorder please call our office and speak with a member of our staff.
